FAQ | Royal Fluff Cloth Diapers

As a one-size diaper, Royal Fluff pocket diapers feature four rows of three torso snaps that allow sizing of the diaper from small to medium to large to extra large. At a little over 2 years old and approximately 26 pounds, my daughter comfortably wears the diaper on the large setting, meaning that Royal Fluff diapers will fit well past potty training for most kids. The pocket diaper also features two rows of two hip snaps plus two rows of ten waist snaps. I prefer to use only the first row on my daughter at the moment, and I currently use the third and fourth rows of waist snaps, meaning Royal Fluff offers plenty of room around the waist for my daughter to grow. I particularly like the Royal Fluff diapers run a bit larger than other brands. The diaper will definitely fit my daughter through potty training.

Although I generally prefer double leg gussets on my cloth diapers, the Royal Fluff pocket diaper features a single row of fairly stretchy elastic around the leg holes. I have yet to have any major leak problems with the single leg gussets. The interior fleece of the Royal Fluff pocket diaper is super soft against the skin and provides a comfortable barrier against the absorbent microfiber insert that comes with the diaper. Together the diaper and insert provide a great diaper for both wetness and messes. I also like to lay one of my regular Stay Dry inserts on top of the diaper, using the pocket diaper as a cover instead. I get great performance from the diaper as both a pocket diaper and a cover.

I was contacted in September about doing a review of Royal Fluff diapers for . I was interested to try them out since I’ve always wondered if I’m missing out on a big money saver with cloth diapers but it’s hard to spend the money just to try them. They are touted as being a big money saver, but they sure do have some steep start up costs! I agreed to the review and Zulily and Royal Fluff sent me two reusable diapers in James’ size and I recently tried them out with him.
